The higher your energy level, the more efficient your body. The more efficient your body, the better you feel
[Anthony Robbins]
Energy is a mum’s most precious resource.
Time runs out, but energy is RENEWABLE.
So when you finally get a pocket of time, boundless energy gives you the motivation to get the job done.
And you feel amazing for it.
So focus your time on renewing your energy, SuperMum.
Check out this week’s episode of The Friday Café where Michelle Dawson and I talk about the four ways to top up your energy tank.

Glad you’re enjoying it. Thanks for getting in touch
Lovely Web-site, Carry on the excellent work. Thanks for your time!.
There are always so many balls to juggle, especially with the amazing work of nurses like you. You’re a SuperMum Carmel, and I love that you always smile despite being tired.
Hi Lisa
Tuning into this was Just what I needed after feeling drained from work this afternoon and trying to decide whether to clean up now or when the boys are asleep!
I was completely hooked when Bern came home with all the info about energy. We ‘ordered’ people love categorisation don’t we! To me, it was like a big old filing cabinet for everything I want to share on the podcast.
I love the Friday Café series! That was a fab espisode, I knew the info but hadn’t categorised it like that before, genius!!!! I’ll def be sharing that one!!!!
Podcasts rock, and they’re the perfect antidote to monotony. My favourite is ‘The School of Greatness’ by Lewis Howes – well worth a listen.
As for the Nutella? Well, chocolate also rocks. Just serve it up without a side helping of guilt – it tastes so much better!
I haven’t seen or heard of it. Tell me more.
Thanks for sharing your energy soundbites Bitzie. My podcast gives me mental energy, although it also zaps me of physical energy as I keep going to bed too late! It’s easy to loose track of time when the kids are asleep. Aaaah, we’re always so torn!
P.S. The kids chose the monsters. They think it’s hilarious that you’re a green alien.
Love the cafe style of a short conversation that gets you thinking! This one’s an excellent topic. I’m not a small talker either, though I know plenty of ladies who do seem to thrive on it – it’s about discovering what works for you. One thing that drains me is monotony, though I also find security in routine, and getting that balance right can be tricky. Recognising the gratitude my family offers – a word of thanks, smile, hug or shared laugh – gives me energy. I love the adage that attitude is a choice. Keep up the inspiring work Lisa!
I loved the movie ‘Inside Out’. Although it’s a children’s movie, I often find myself referring to the movie. Our brains are truly amazing things!
I’ll remember not to mention the weather when we next get together!
I’ve put the link to the book on now. I was playing crazy catch up yesterday with the launch!
I enjoyed this Lisa. Literally the first podcast I’ve ever listened to :/
As a rather content wife and fellow mum of 4 kids, I think what drains my energy the most is the monotony and repetitiveness of daily activities, general time pressures and interactive stressors.
I have days/weeks where I am highly organised and motivated and others where I am severely lacking.
I definitely feel at the top of my game when I prioritise exercise and sleep – which leads to healthier food choices and ultimately an energetic, more patient, positive mindset.
I just can never seem to keep it up for extended periods of time and fall off the wagon time and time again!
When I do it usually involves Nutella and a whole lot of guilt – which at least Spurs me on to begin the positive cycle again?!
Loved it! I’m so not a small talk person either!!! A lot of areas I’m thinking about discussed here!
What’s the book you mentioned in the podcast?
