Dr Kate Dow (PhD) grew up surrounded by anxiety, it was inherent in her home life as a child and seemed to be an integral part of who she was.
Not surprising then, that when she became a mum at the age of 35, anxiety hit her hard. It was understandable. Her children were born just 13 months apart and she was caught in a difficult marriage which later fell apart. Kate ended up raising her two children – who are now 18 and 19 – as a single parent and was constantly gripped by anxiety.
But Kate didn’t want this life and worked hard to combat and overcome her fears. She’s devoted her life to supporting women, especially mums, through her multidisciplinary, heart-centered approach. She’s a successful Mind-Body Psychologist, Consultant, and Empowerment Coach and the author of the book Fear-Less: The Art of Using Anxiety to your Advantage.
In this episode, we talk about how prevalent anxiety is amongst mums, and how anxiety can negatively spread through your world in a downwards spiral. You’ll understand how anxiety impacts you and learn how to notice the signs of it showing up in your life. Kate’s ‘Fear-Less’ approach has been created specifically for women, and through it, you’ll discover how to transform your anxiety.
